(Photo by Michael Wade/Icon Sportswire) The 2020 season is over, which means it's time to talk about the upcoming NFL Draft. The Cleveland Browns found some late round sleepers during the draft last year. They also landed tackle Jedrick Wills with the No. 10 selection, which has already proven to be a solid selection. Now it's time to have some fun and use a mock draft machine to see who.

The Browns have nine picks at their disposal in the 2021 NFL Draft. Cleveland hopes they can use that draft capital to become a Super Bowl contender.

Kevin Stefanski's first season in charge of the Browns was an unqualified success. He managed to solidify Baker Mayfield's status as the team's starting quarterback while piloting Cleveland towards a solid playoff berth. The challenge for Stefanski and his staff will elevate the roster from good to great this offseason. Best online casinos new jersey.

Fortunately, the Browns have nine draft picks to use in that endeavor. Extra selections in both the third and fourth rounds give Cleveland a chance to move up and down the board to land their top targets. It's highly unlikely the franchise will add nine rookies to their roster in 2021, but this mock will focus on who they might choose with each of their current selections.

Finding another weapon for Mayfield to leverage in the passing game will be one of the team's priorities, but look for most of the Browns' draft capital to be aimed at elevating the defense. Cleveland should look to use the No. 26 overall selection to find a playmaker for their front seven.

LinebackerMissouri

B.J. Goodson was a serviceable middle linebacker or Cleveland in 2020 but no one would classify him as a playmaker. Adding Bolton to the mix could give the Browns' front seven a lot more upside in 2021.

The former Missouri star isn't ready to be a star on all three downs yet, but he showed enough in coverage during his time with the Tigers to ascend to that level in time. His immediate impact in the NFL will come as a physical hitter who isn't afraid to lay the lumber on opposing ball carriers around the line of scrimmage.

The Browns can benefit from adding that kind of nasty presence to their linebacking corps. Bolton may never be a superstar, but he's good enough to give Cleveland's defense an immediate boost.

EdgeOklahoma

Myles Garrett needs more help if the Browns are going to build a dominant NFL pass rush. That's why spending a second-rounder on an intriguing edge prospect makes a lot of sense for the Browns.

Perkins has some concerning issues when it comes to holding up against the run, but there are no reasonable questions about his ability to get to the quarterback. He's got the perfect combination of size, speed, and power to torment NFL tackles on the edge.

The former Oklahoma star demonstrates a lot of strike power at the point of attack. That helps him knock opposing lineman off their spots before they can really get into their pass blocking sets. Perkins' ability to win that battle almost instantly is what produces a lot of his pressures.

Long-term, the Browns will need to spend serious time with Perkins to help him understand the intricacies of playing against NFL rushing attacks. As a rookie, they can fully expect him to be an above-average pass-rusher. That's why they should gamble on him despite his lack of versatility at the moment.

Wide receiverUSC

Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry give the Browns a quality 1-2 punch at wide receiver, but the group needs to add depth this offseason. St. Brown projects as a quality starter in time who can inject some much-needed toughness into Cleveland's receiving corps.

The former Southern Cal star isn't getting early-round consideration because he lacks the high-end speed NFL coaches want in wideouts who can take the top off of opposing secondaries. He does have everything else pro personnel executives should be looking for.

Mock

St. Brown is a high-quality route-runner who shows quality athleticism in his ability to get in and out of breaks quickly. Combine that with his physicality on the outside and it's easy to see why he wins more than his share of contested catches.

It might take this prospect a few weeks to adjust to the challenge of competing against NFL defensive backs, but he should be capable of starting for the Browns before too long. That represents solid value in Round 3.

CornerbackMinnesota

The Browns need to add depth at cornerback to prepare for the possibility of both Kevin Johnson and Terrance Mitchell leaving in free agency. St-Juste should appeal to the coaching staff because of his excellent size for the position.

That makes him an ideal fit to be Cleveland's No. 3 corner on the outside. Down the line, his presence in the secondary could allow the Browns to deploy Denzel Ward in the slot against teams that possess elite options at that position.

Bolton can give the Browns a major boost at inside linebacker while Moses would give them an upgrade at either outside spot. There's a chance he goes off the board well before the beginning of Round 4, but Cleveland shouldn't hesitate to snap him up if he falls this far.

Moses is a classic sideline-to-sideline defender who uses his speed to make plays. The fact that he also plays with a high degree of force gives him a chance to be a high-level starter. Finding that value in Round 4 is rare, but he's a prospect with a chance to pay off handsomely.

SafetyGeorgia

Karl Joseph is another member of Cleveland's secondary heading towards free agency. The Browns would be wise to hedge against his potential departure by nabbing LeCounte late in the fourth round.

He lacks the physicality to project as a high-level starter, but he's already ready to impact Cleveland as a solid option in coverage. He could turn into a really valuable reserve who can support the team's corners as a deep safety in nickel and dime setups.

2017 Nfl Mock Draft Cleveland Browns 7 Rounds Nfl

The Browns don't need to add any starting offensive lineman in the draft, but acquiring depth up front is always a good strategy. Myers doesn't have a high ceiling as an interior player, but his high floor makes him a strong value in the fifth round.

At worst, Myers projects as a guy who can help Cleveland in short-yardage situations. He looks really good coming off the line but struggles to get to the second level with any kind of consistency. Cleveland should acquire him to be a nice depth piece.

IowaEdge

Gholston projects as a nice run defender from his edge position at the next level. That makes him an ideal pairing with a pass-rushing specialist in Cleveland. He lacks star potential but he should be able to soak up early-down snaps right away.

CornerbackAppalachian State

The Browns will do well to add a player who can make their final roster with one of the draft's last picks. Jean-Charles is light for an NFL corner, but he showed really good ball skills during his collegiate career at Appalachian State. He has a chance to stick as a reserve during his rookie season with a slight chance to grow into more down the line.
